Best Buy Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The culture is great. Everyone is very positive and friendly to each other.

Alot of the employees focus on whats going on in other co-workers personal lives instead of THEIR job.

Review from Customer Support Dept

i like learning the technology

Good store leadership and good co-workers.

I'd say its the diversity of the team everydodys skills are well exploited

Review from Sales Dept

Interacting in clients homes and with other agents is positive

It is fun interacting with the customers

The employee and employers are kind and cheerful, the employers could do more to boost the morale or their employees

Review from Sales Dept

Great team collaboration within teams

A lot of my coworkers are like-minded so it's easy to get along with everybody.

Everyone gets along and work together

People are usually willing to ask how they can help

As previously stated, my peers are great.

The most positive thing about the culture of BestBuy is the inclusiveness, and that it doesn't matter what you look like, everyone is accepted.

They are extremely inclusive, and culturally sensitive.

Friendly interaction between coworkers and management. Does not feel like management is an unreachable entity, and there are a lot of opportunities to interact with others. Most people really enjoy the relaxed and young culture

The same happy mindset across the store

The ability to work independently with little oversight because we all know how to do our jobs well.

Hopefully they are very happy to be here

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Different agendas. Being an actual service to customers instead of focusing on what can be taken from them or how they can be manipulated.

Stop focusing on being like amazon and focus on the edge of customer service and expertise

The leaders and managing time better.

The leadership needs to think about more then just the bottom line.

Distinct difference in uniform shirt color and style between highly capable Designers and Consultants as opposed to clerk level advisors.

Go back to how things were ran in 2019

Increase everyone's pay. Not just store employees. My work now has less value since they are paid nearly what I'm getting paid for much less responsibility.

Review from Operations Dept

they need to learn to be positive

Review from IT Dept

More pay and less hours

Review from Engineering Dept

Theres no accountability in my store at all. Front end and asset protection will answer phone calls and face time while on stand

Review from Sales Dept

Have more incentive to work harder and sell products

Review from HR Dept

Better wages and benefits for all levels

Review from Operations Dept

One could get paid about 11.00 and up to work at a company which has you pushing carts and picking up trash. I'd expect more from a company that declares expert service on the nametags of people who have barely worked a month.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I like that we don’t work on commission. But, I think an individual bonus would be a great incentive without having the cutthroat culture of the commission environment

Review from Sales Dept

I don't think much needs to change however I think that some stores need a revamp in management. I came from a negative environment store to a positive store and it is so much better now I'm there.

Review from IT Dept

Most employees below leadership seem to see Best Buy as a temporary job and therefore are typically pretty cynical towards problems in the company or with customers.

Review from Sales Dept

Be better staffed and chill out with the sales goals

Review from Customer Support Dept

It starts at the top, we are unappreciated and underpaid.

Review from Sales Dept

More employee input and less outrageous expectations

Review from IT Dept

Stop hiring manager's friends, make everyone do an equal amount of work, get rid of those who don't pull their weight.
