I totally enjoyed the job when I first started many years ago. However, over the years, I have seen the cutbacks in payroll and the increase in workload which doesn't balance out. It's frustrating, and the job is no longer enjoyable most of the time.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to complete an assignment and appreciating the impact it has on our customers.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Having the opportunity to speak directly to the head manager and not just the hiring manager.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Most of the time they are invested in you as a person rather than just an employee of the company.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Promoting people from within the company. We are told that the possibility of promotion is there, but they always hire from outside the workforce.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Our paid holidays. We get 6 paid holidays a year. Two of these are Thanksgiving and Christmas and we are closed both days, unlike many retail companies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Hardworking individuals that are willing to help in any area they are needed. We may have assigned departments, but if you find yourself behind, you can always find someone who can give you a hand.
