I would say in general my experience at Carbon has been very positive. Everyone I've had the opportunity to work with has been very friendly and helpful. At times, the hardware side of things can be a little slow.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to quickly prototype concepts and watch them mature into products.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
People are very friendly. In addition to that, the executive team is very transparent about how things are going at the company and what their plans/goals are.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The unlimited vacation is extremely nice. It doesn't seem to me like this is often abused, but it does allow more freedom, especially with one off days here and there.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I feel like people are easy to get along with and enjoyable to spend time with. There are also a large number of knowledge people that are happy to share input and answer questions.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I think more direction needs to be provided for the hardware group as a whole. It seems like Ellen is making some great progress in this area, but the months before her arrival and immediately after have felt a little aimless. I don't feel like the group knows what to be excited about.
