Some of the leaders in particular do a great job modeling work life balance and genuinely care about their teams.

There's a real understanding that there's more to life than work, and that family and life outside are very important.

My manager, the CTO, is awesome - both from a technical perspective and as a leader who cares about us as human beings.

We currently have a flexible PTO policy - as long as your manager is OK with it, you can use as many days as you'd like.

For me, who I work with has always mattered more than the work itself. I really enjoy working each day because of the great people I work with at Carbon.

I think Carbon has attracted a lot of talented people who were sick of the cynical and oppressive work environments elsewhere. We've allowed people to self-select an environment where teamwork, camaraderie, and a positive and inclusive culture matter to them.

People are intelligent, committed, friendly, and interesting people. It's always been very important to me to work with people who care about what they are doing, but care about their lives outside of work as well. I've made great real friendships here, too!
