Carter's Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Your pay is above minimum wage in Maryland but its doesnt add up when your not schedule any hours especially around the Holidays. PT jobs are suppose to help make things financially better not crimple you.. Do the CEO and President even care that the stores are hurting there associates

Review from Sales Dept

Salary and benfits and 401k

The health Insurance is good

Able to have insurance at a discount rate

Base salary is far above industry standard

It's standard compensation like every other retailer

Good medical and 401k contributions.

We receive incentives based on monthly sales goals, 401k, health benefits, and great family benefits and discounts.

Review from Sales Dept

Paying on time & great place to work.

Review from Product Dept

Health benefits, 401 k plan

Review from Product Dept

I can get pay as much as I want.

Review from Product Dept

Always on time but can sometimes be edgy.

Review from Product Dept

It's reliable, and my hours are consistent, a bit of overtime and time-and-a-half.

The health care package (medical, eye and dental)

The compensation package is pretty standard and simple to understand.

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel undervalued because even when our segment of the business over performs and has record breaking years we are not rewarded for those accomplishments despite the constant rhetoric that Carter’s is a merit based company and pays for performance. The leadership team however never misses a bonu

More money and a company that cares

Yes! The company doesnt hold true to its values

I feel like we put a lot into our work. The lacking hours we have dont help with the pay. Therefore, its forcing me to get a second job to support my family and i. That doesnt allow me to be flexible for carters. If i had better pay it would make up for what i was quoted at hire.

Better benefits, especially family and parental leave

Get sales assoiates wages respectable. No one expects to get rich working retail, but Carters should be ashamed of what they pay their sales associates.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel unvalued because other employes ar getting better treatmeant then me and things done for them can't be done for me.

I received a promotion of just 3% base salary increase because merit was included. Others with significantly less experience and lower performers were promoted to the same level.

I feel undervalued by the way I get treated at my store by the store manager. If she is not satisfied with how something is done, she cuts your hours and blames it on cooperate not offering enough hours for the store yet she works almost 60 hours a week. Schedules when not available. Barely any hour

Review from Sales Dept

Yes I do I feel like the amount of work we do is equal to management especially when you're teaching them how to do their job

I'm not paid enough to take care of my fair share plus everyone else's then told i don't do enough.

Not be micro managed & talked behind my back

Because i work my butt off and my ASM has the nerve to say the store looks like crap. Even when the store has a busy day im still not appreciated

Review from Sales Dept

Pay should be more competitive compared to similar jobs in the market, especially for the workload expected.

Holiday pay for crying out loud

The lack of payroll hours due to increased minimum wages, the increase in workload on reduced hours, the employee expense of benefits are all sources of dissatisfaction.

What would make me feel better is higher pay

Review from Sales Dept

I should've been promoted already

Review from Sales Dept

The CEO and Regional manager is an absolute joke.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel like what is required from me is more than what I get paid. I do not have benefits.
