Mr. Ronald L. Frey Jr., also known as Ron, has been Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of CDK Global, Inc. since April 17, 2017. Mr. Frey has global responsibility for strategy and business development as well as product management. Mr. Frey has been Chief Strategy Officer of Automotive Solutions at CU Direct Corporation since October 2016. Mr. Frey has spent 30 years serving the automotive and credit union industry bringing innovative business and technological advancements to the industry. Mr. Frey joined CU Direct from AutoNation, Inc., where he was Chief Strategy Officer. He served as the President of AutoNation Direct since 2007, where he focused on developing and testing bold new initiatives in transactional sales outside the traditional store environment and was later promoted to Chief Strategy Officer of AutoNation, Inc. Mr. Frey served as the Chief Executive Officer of Autoland Inc. He played an integral role in the launch of Cars Direct. Mr. Frey is an automotive innovator, beginning his career in the automotive industry in 1985. In addition, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of TRUECar.com in 2005. More recently, Mr. Frey has been providing consulting services to the automotive industry through his company, RL Frey.
