Ms. Shanuah Beamon has been Senior Vice President and General Counsel at City Year, Inc. since March 30, 2017. Ms. Beamon is responsible for developing and implementing City Year's legal strategy in alignment with mission, vision, values and culture. She is also partner with other senior leaders to promote and manage best practices for risk management, including building and maintaining key stakeholders inside and outside of the organization. Ms. Beamon served as the Deputy General Counsel for MassHousing and was charged with overseeing legal services in support of all aspects of the organization's work including negotiating and closing complex affordable loans, implementing and interpreting governance, operations, compliance and risk management policies and procedures, managing affirmative and defensive litigation claims and compliance matters and establishing quality and service standards. Her expertise and perspective equip City Year with the leadership it needs to execute a legal strategy that enables to advance Long-Term Impact goals.
