What are some of the best things about your team?

The people that I work with work very very hard. They are kind when customers are unkind, and remain steady when management faulters. Most of the people I work with have been there for years, so they know the old Crate work ethic which is overall reputable and time saving.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Management can’t get people to stay and it is not leadership that is the issue. The wages are not competitive enough in this economy and people jump ship at the next best opportunity. After that, the strain lands on management and the loyal employees left. Everyone works twice as

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel undervalued in the sense that my compensation does not match my work load. Just recently, executive members upped the hiring rate, however only increased my wage by $0.08. Before this increase, I was making $1.90 over starting rate and now I am making $0.48 over. I lost the difference.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The people are great and I believe that this new compensation plan that went into place offended a lot of quality employees. We work very hard to jive with the nature of the business. The 30% employee discount is nice and all, but college employees can not afford a lot of what is in the store.
