David's Bridal Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

It's great knowing that there is a compensation package in place for future use

The discount policy was compriable

Salary. Bonuses and commissions (as applicable) Paid time off (holidays and vacation and sick days) Medical, dental and vision insurance. 401(k) or another retirement savings plan. Childcare, including off-site and on-site options. Flexible work hours.

the PPO insurance is good

women get a discount on dresses

I have yet to receive information on benefits

I am happy about the sign on bonus! Though i do wish i was paid a dollar or two more hourly the experience of the job is well worth it.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I get decent pay for working retail

Works well with my needs.

Review from Sales Dept

I wasn't aware of a compensation package.

Review from Sales Dept

Health care and the organizations culture and efforts to treat employees with appreciation.

Review from Customer Support Dept

5 weeks of paid time off. Wonderful!

They offered compensation to part time and full time employees

Review from Sales Dept

Because we get paid based on commission, you get to motivate yourself to make money. Working the best hours will help you make more money.

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

With in the recent years davids has raised their pay and that's great but the work we do is still not reflecting what the pay should be. I would feel valued wirh atleaat 2 dollars more

Equailty and supporting employees after putting them in finincal binds

As a former top-selling senior bridal stylist of my team, I think there should be a little bit more honesty & communication with tenure members, so that there's no question about expectations. I think those who do an exponential job at what they do should be offered more & considered for promotions.

Review from Sales Dept

Despite being full time, my store manager argued that I wasn't entitled to a certain amount of hours and tried to schedule me for as little as possible because I was the highest paid on my team.

Actualy give your employees hours to work. You cant retain talent (alterations) if you dont want to pay them

I feel extremely underpaid for the responsibilities that i have. Non-commission workers, like myself, only get a bonus if stylists do their job well and sell enough. I often give my sales to commissioned workers because i have a higher chance of getting a bonus if i do.

If they pay was above 13 an hour

I was 2 weeks away from getting my bonus. I ended up gettint severely sick and was completely unable to physically work one Saturday. I was then denied the bonus because of my "missed day"

I get paid the same as any fast food worker. And yet, I work with my team to help brides have their dream wedding, and support those emotionally. I consistently have to fix tech issues in the store. I run around working like mad all day working my butt off, and yet I get paid practically nothing.

I would feel better if we were paid a living wage for how much work we work. As would every single csr, stylist and manager.

No one even explained how we get paid for selling dresses! I have only been paid for the hours I worked.

After selling over 14 thousand dollar within two weeks the commission still wasn't as expected especially with the cost of living today I just feel like we deserve a higher pay or for the commission to pay more.

There's no wage transparency, and to learn that my equal counterpart was making $16 an hour, I was gutted. I am not making much more, but we both spend all of our waking hours trying to hold down the fort. The emotional toll outside of time punches is priceless.

Review from Sales Dept

The hourly pay rate for customer service representative is not aligning well with living costs along with the struggles that we face daily.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The District Manager belittles everyone. They say things like how they sleep amazing at night when they know the 'lowers' are suffering, infront of paying customers. So many people have quit and it is all overlooked. Why is no one caring?

The District Manager belittles everyone. Says things like she sleep amazing at night when the lower employees suffer infront of customers.

I haven't received my paychecks or my commission

i was promised commission and i am never given an equal opportunity

We are overworked for minimum wage. I have been at this company for almost 5 years and I have gotten one raise.

Employees are expected to work full time hours when no full time positions are available; basically, for no benefits.
