What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

They're willing to hear feedback, I wish they were more organized but it's tough when you're moving in so many directions.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Stop micromanaging, expand verticals, stop expecting overnight success, hire real leaders not good sales people as managers.

Be supportive and actually helpful - not berating people or demanding they do things you can't. Realize the legal vertical is completely different than auto and stop comparing them. Incorporate more training and structure.

Understand that market they are attempting to enter. Stop assuming that you can conquer a new market using the same tactics.

Being decent humans! Don't piss on us and tell us it's raining. News travels fast in a company DealerOns size, the truth is always spread and known, so don't insult the intelligence of your staff.

Actually leading, retention, compensation, professional development and communication. Too much lying, lack of coherent direction and inability to recognize employees that actually want to work for the company. Far too many good employees leave due to a lack of recognition. Also, keep ali sober.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

It could be closer to the market standard.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

The pay is extremely low especially when compared to the market and direct competitors. There are zero negotiations and budget around seeking to improve quality of life at DealerOn. Being paid the market price and competitively would help make everyone feel better.

Grossly underpaid for the industry. Forced to work long hours without proper compensation. Management will offer an extra $1,000 for working a schedule no one wants. The minute you want off the schedule, they take away the pay.

Salary is noticeably lower compared to area and industry averages for my experience

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

Great colleagues, in the same boat.

My team works hard, they care about their clients and they truly want to do well. They're also fun and have a pretty great sense of humor despite our size.

Horizontal co-workers are fantastic. For the most part everyone is suffering together, so everyone is on the same page with their level of unhappiness and being burnt out.

The customer support team at DealerOn is amazing. We deal with the hordes of angry clients that are always told "we're working on it". But in reality, Dev has broken so much, it's never going to be fixed and they dont care. All we hear is "I want to cancel" then everything is free for the client.

My team is positive and helpful

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

That we treat each other like real humans who have their own lives and their own ups and downs. We're empathetic and even though we might fall short sometimes we are trying to do right by our coworkers and our clients

Communication with co-workers and solidarity among the abused.

Laid back and relaxed but also intentional.

Very laid back environment and they have a game room

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Sales managers need leadership skills. Stop acting like you hired high school interns.

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

We ask lots of situational questions that allow people to recall past experiences and really show us how they think through situations.

The interview process was at one point great. It's not anymore. The people that made the company what it was have left.

It was thorough and direct.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

The timeframe from interview one to offer was quick, and the interviews felt mostly effective. Some irrelevant questions were asked.

Tell the truth upfront about what someone is getting into working at DealerOn. Almost everything I was shown in the interview was false and feels like a bait and switch to get bodies in seats to keep up with extreme turnover.

What makes you most happy at work?

Outlook Reviews

Being able to contribute to the success of others.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Culture, people skills, get rid of the people thst make ot toxic.

I'm fairly positive DealerOn is looking to sell the company soon, so they have no regard for investing in the longterm as long as they can sell for maximum price soon. Turning eyes inward towards employees and improving overall quality of life would go a long way.

I drink during my lunches to get through the day. I also heard the CEO is looking to sell the company for at least 100 mil. Not likely going to happen.. but would be great if you didn't keep people with real values away from the town hall meetings. There is no direction, and a war going on inside.
