DIRECTV Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Comp time is the best thing about my compensation

I have time for my workout and for my family

Bonuses and paid time off

nothing but I wish the commission would be a bit bigger. the more the company grows the better things will be

Review from Sales Dept

All levels of it are great.

Free satellite television at home

Review from Customer Support Dept

The new incentive plan started on the 1st

Review from Customer Support Dept

Even when you are training they pay you

Review from Sales Dept

The pay is good, the benefits are just okay.

Review from Operations Dept

The way we can extra money only if the employees want to

Review from IT Dept

Good benefits and stuff like that

Review from Sales Dept

90,000 a year great pay

Review from Operations Dept

Takes care of me and family

They need to pay us more than ussaual.

Review from Sales Dept

For the job it's good. However they have been lowering wages recently

Review from Customer Support Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

They removed long-term incentives in the company for anyone below Sr. Director level, while loading up work & responsibility at the Director level & below. Since they do not offer any type of stock or equity in DIRECTV or its parent companies (AT&T/TPG), employees are not vested in its success.

more benefits and an increase

Wages are rising across the board. Other companies in same industry with very similar positions are being compensated by several dollars more an hour.

Review from Communications Dept

For what technicians have to endure the pay is not nearly enough in a booming economy. Better pay and benefits.

Review from Communications Dept

At&t can care less about us and ther in house employees. Contractors must sign unconstitutional contracts to ensure work. 1 DirecTV contractor must have AT&T cell service or you will be fined and or shut off (Fired) 2 Chargebacks, contractors will be charged $64 even for customer caused issues.

Review from Operations Dept

More money and career growth options

Review from IT Dept

Mastec. I 'm paid piece rate, which means that I'm only paid when a job is closed. If I go to a home and the job cancels, I don't get paid for my time. In the past 10 years I've had 3 days where I worked all day for the company and was paid nothing. Another issue is every 2 years we receive a paycut

Review from Operations Dept

Ok first of all prices per installation have been falling instead of rising. I buy the material and installation tools and next thing you know I get to give this stuff away because you said so. Or else we are threatened with no work or even being fired because we refuse to give our material and time

Review from Operations Dept

To be paid a little more and have benifiets

Review from Operations Dept

More money would certainly help

Review from Communications Dept

My bosses make it my fault when there is no line of sight at homes. I don’t plant trees. Also if I wasn’t charged back on service calls against me that would be great. Sometimes it’s because homeowners have input issues. Not fair.

Review from Operations Dept

Insurance is horrible. We get fewer raises since AT&T bought DIRECTV. Even though we are Union now.

Review from Customer Support Dept

There needs to be more commissions for our job saving customeds and preventing churn

Review from Customer Support Dept

WE ARE THE FACE OF DIRECTV. TECHS DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS UNLIKE ANY OTHER MEMBER. WE ARE UNDERPAID.

Review from IT Dept

More competitive pay like frontier

Review from Operations Dept

AT&T doesn't care about their employees especially the DirecTV Legacy side we have employees making 14 dollars an hour you think that's fair AT&T is a crook

Review from Communications Dept

Feel undervalued because provisioning doesn't care about the repercussions of doing a horrible job on their end and expect tech's to just deal with it. Would feel better about compensation if the pay scale was remotely close to what it used to be before AT&T took over

Review from IT Dept

The fact that we are force on 6 day work weeks and I spend a lot of time away from my family out of state at other sites so that guys aren't forced in to it that don't want to help and the fact that I no longer have time with my kids is very upsetting and doing things we normally don't do for free

Return what directv gave us. Return positive attitudes from management

Review from Customer Support Dept

We have to deal with the angry customers and yet have to sit back and get belittled and cursed at all day all while pretending to be happy.
