I work in a small Dominos Restaurant, we are short staffed but instead of recruiting more, the existing staff just need to work more.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There isn't a lot, our managers often buy cakes when it is someone's birthday.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I get paid £4.62 an hour, minimum wage for a 16 year old in the UK, when my colleagues are paid over £8 for the same jo
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Friendly during work hours, but no flexibility, I was told I could have no weekend off (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), with no time-frame, just got told no weekend off are possible.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Communication, I have multiple supervisors telling me to do different things throughout the day at the same time, I have no idea what to priorities because they all value what they have told me the most.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We are far too busy for the amount of customers we receive, meaning there is often a 2+ hour wait for deliveries and MOST customers hand in complaints, wanting to speak to our already busy managers.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
There was no interview, I handed my CV in, was called around back to the office and filled out two forms, then was asked to sign a stack of forms, then I was hired. At no point was I offered the job, I was simply told when I would start.
