What needs to change to make the company culture better?
A properly staffed store compared to the heavy amount of sales it receives. It would actually keep new hires around longer too. Most new hires quit because the chaotic and understaffed work environment is too overwhelming.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
The owner schedules interviews with new hires but doesn’t tell anyone at the store that they are coming. They usually show up during dinner rush and have to wait 40 minutes just to have their interview. Only one employee knows how to conduct an interview.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Severely understaffed, leading to new hires quitting due to being overwhelmed. The owner also needs to allow the store manager to actually do her job and manage the store the way she should be allowed to. Instead he tries to manage things himself and then blame the employees for his mistakes.
