It was nice in the beginning. But once the store owner changed all the store managers around it was aweful.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Better management and hiring process. If you have been fired 2 times before you shouldn't be rehired because you are personal friends with the store manager
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Treating their hard working employees with respect and stop rehiring people who have been fired for stealing and numerous no call no shows, because they are your "personal friends."
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
When an employee does a good job, has great customer reviews and doesn't cut corners, their hours shouldn't be cut to give people who have already been fired more hours than the hard workers. Your personal friends shouldn't be held above your hard working employees.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
covering shifts and having my hours cut after my car was in the shop. Also being forced to stay working inside at a lower pay then the other insiders, losing all my tip money because the manager refused to schedule the proper amount of inside employees
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Coming in on time, when scheduled and in proper uniform. Actually putting forth the effort for quality customer service. Only ONE other employee did their job with me and we BOTH felt cheated that we were the only ones not cutting corners but our hours were cut for managers friends to be hired
