i would say discounts are the best part

401k head start and employee discount

I dont know because my benifits didnt start until a week before i decoded to leave

As a part-timer, I don't get benefits other than the discount, but it is nice that we can participate in the 401k programs.

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I believe they severely underpay people in management & only provide funding for personnel in sales associate roles due to minimum wage raises. Example- a 3rd level manager of 6 years makes $18/hr while an associate who is under 1 year makes $16.50/hr. No allowed conversation compensation tolerated.

Basing a managers rate of pay off of rhe area the store is in tather then on the roll in which they fill is unfair. A supervisor in one city will be making far leas then one in another ciry simply nased on "fair market value" yet asked to di the same job as the one getting pair more.

Literally you are expected to do everything if working the register. You have to ring people up, process returns, do recovery, do markdowns, clean, and accept that disrespect from coworkers and customers as if you don't have feelings and just to accept it without complaining.

Review from Sales Dept

Should be paid more to deal with some of these customers

If the hourly wage could be discussed.

Only $13 for tremendous amount of work that should be ashamed

There is no perks for a consultant.

I feel I am undervalued. I do not even know everyone’s name and trying engage is difficult. I am ether dis acknowledged or ignored. Iv addressed issues but given excuses and I don’t need compensation I wanted work.. make ends meet but I am not employed for social reasons. I’m there to

Review from Sales Dept

I feel undervalued because I am taken advantage of each day, as I am certain that others in my exact position were paid two dollars more than I am. I was also made a full time manager with no consent, in fact I was just told that I was full time during a shift and was given zero information.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel worthless working where i work due to the assistant manager. She is very moody and rude to her associates. She doesnt have the motivation to motivate her associates but she brings them down which is why the store isnt hitting their goals.

Review from Sales Dept

Better pay and more hours

I feel I'm underappreciated as an Emilie and deserve a higher pay. I have been working there for over a year and make 19 cents above minimum wage

I do way more than my job description was when i was hired and i work a completely different roll now

Better pay with hardworking employees will be great.

Paid fairly and Paid maternity leave

Anything more than 7+ hours on your feet deserves an hour break Sometimes we're out to work 3-10pm (close) however at times we dont leave until hours after 10pm when we've only taken a 30minute break in the middle of the shift Also in order to clock in and out you have to go to a diffrent floor

Review from Sales Dept

I know for a fact there are oeers in my volume band making exponentially more than me

Review from Sales Dept

My unique skills do not match my pay

Again I was failed at every level by DSW from my supervisor to all those above him, from the two area managers in my location and my HR director, etc. This company is as toxic as them come.

Review from Sales Dept

Worked there for 6 years and only make 2 dollars above minimum wage
