Core values are awesome but most do not live up to those values. Saw the use of bait and switch to bring in business but often do not have the resources readily available. Very driven to make customers happy (sqi + $) but internal customers (employee satisfaction) is an afterthought (retention).

riding so tight on staff and with resources on thin margins is bound to cause stress and eventually failure. This will let down customers and will cause employee burn out.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Great results or excellent performance provided is not truly valued if your value is only determined by comparison. Compensation is not just about salary and benefits. Being compensated with flexibility and life balance should also be goals for retention.
