Actually understanding the product that they try to sell, not just hearing about what's on the roadmap and telling every one to sell it.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Salary and option to work remote.
base salary is competitive, bonus is reward for company performance primarily, benefits are nice and flex time off

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know I make less then most of my peers, this was told to me from a former VP and there was nothing he could do about it.

compensation to be measured based on work effort. More skip level meeting to make sure that favoritism does not creep in
appraisal process is completely on managers discretion - no processes in place to prevent partiality and equanimity
I was a network engineer found out was getting paid 20k less than the average

I feel comfortable expressing my thoughts, suggestions and ideas.
The option to work remotely since the pandemic.
Everything about our work culture is POSITIVE - lots of energy, enthusiasm, excitement around our technology, our place in the market, our wins against larger competitors, our growth and trajectory.

I met with a VP who had been here since the company started 25+ years ago, who was more excited about being here now than when it was a start-up!

HR/recruiting team would go over 2 weeks without getting back. I had to initiate the follow up and still wouldn't have an answer.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
the company goals as said by the CEO and CTO are lost in translation when it gets to the bottom level. Teams are still operating in silos and worried about their own deliverables and teams rather than work for the company as a whole
Company does not spend enough time to integrate acquisitions and it shows

Underdog potential. When people become customers they are surprised at how great our solutions are to solve problems for them.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
More investment in programs/solutions that will at least level set us with the competition.
