compensation to be measured based on work effort. More skip level meeting to make sure that favoritism does not creep in

appraisal process is completely on managers discretion - no processes in place to prevent partiality and equanimity

the company goals as said by the CEO and CTO are lost in translation when it gets to the bottom level. Teams are still operating in silos and worried about their own deliverables and teams rather than work for the company as a whole
