Mr. Ashwani Kumar Galhotra has been Group Vice President of Lincoln and Chief Marketing Officer at Ford Motor Company since November 1, 2017. Mr. Galhotra served as Vice President and President of Lincoln at Ford Motor Company since September 01, 2014 until November 1, 2017. Mr. Galhotra is responsible for accelerating Lincoln even further as a world-class luxury brand. As the dedicated global Lincoln leader, he builds on the brand's recent product and sales momentum ' including its recent expansion into China. He oversees the development of the next generation of Lincoln vehicles as well as connect them with a new generation of Lincoln clients. His focus is to build on the appeal of Lincoln not only through its distinctive vehicles but also a world-class, luxury ownership experience. Mr. Galhotra served as a Vice-President of Engineering at Ford Motor Company since August 01, 2013. He was responsible for the engineering of all cars, trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles for Ford and Lincoln brands. He served as the Vice President of Product Development, Ford Asia Pacific and Africa at Ford Motor Company until August 01, 2013. He has led product development in Ford's Asia Pacific and Africa region since 2009. In that role, he led the team that developed Ford's aggressive plan to bring more than 50 new vehicles and powertrains to its Asia Pacific and Africa region by mid-decade. He was appointed a corporate officer of Ford on June 1, 2012. He served as Managing Executive Officer of Program Management and General Manager of Product Planning Division at Mazda Motor Corporation and served as its General Manager of the Program Management Division since June 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he was assigned to Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima, where he was responsible for program management and product planning worldwide. He joined Ford in 1988 as a design engineer. Since that time, he served in a variety of roles within Ford Product Development. Among the assignments, he led the introduction of the Ford Ranger into South American markets in 1998 and was the chief engineer for the Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute and Mercury Mariner in the early 2000s; and was vehicle programs director for five vehicle lines in the mid-2000s. He also worked in Japan as Mazda's Executive Officer in charge of program management globally. Since early 2004, he served as vehicle programs director at Ford, overseeing the development of all Ford small vehicles. He holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.
