Executive Bio

Mr. James Benintende, also known as Jim, has been the President of Ford Middle East & Africa at Ford Motor Co. since September 1, 2013. Mr. Benintende leads Ford's new, consolidated Middle East and Africa regional business unit headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Most recently, Mr. Benintende was Director of Ford Export & Growth (E&G) since May 1, 2013. In that role, he was responsible for the sale of Ford Motor Company vehicles sourced from North and South America, Europe and Asia in 84 countries throughout the world. Mr. Benintende joined Ford in 1976 as a 20-year-old worker on the assembly line in Mahwah, N.J. He progressed through a series of marketing and sales positions from 1984 to 1993 before joining Export and Growth for the first time as national sales manager for Saudi Arabia and Egypt in 1993, a position he held until 1997. He also served as Middle East marketing manager from 1996 to 1997 and as the sales manager for the Middle East and North Africa from 1997 to 2000, becoming Managing Director of Ford Middle East in 2000. Mr. Benintende's assignments also took him to Memphis, Tenn. There he was a Regional Manager, first for Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), then for Sales. He also served as the general manager for Ford's Great Lakes market area, where he was responsible for all market sales and service activities in 17 states for Ford, Lincoln and FCSD. Mr. Benintende earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Ramapo College in New Jersey in 1983.
