Mr. Raj Nair has been Executive Vice President and President of North America at Ford Motor Company since June 1, 2017. Mr. Nair serves as Group Vice President of Global Product Development at Ford Of Europe GmbH. Mr. Nair served as the Chief Technical Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Development at Ford Motor Company since December 01, 2015 June 1, 2017. Mr. Nair served as Chief Technical Officer for Global Product Development and Group Vice President at Ford Motor Company from April 01, 2014 to January 01, 2016. Mr. Nair served as Group Vice President of Global Product Development at Ford Motor Co., since April 1, 2012. Previously, Mr. Nair served as a Vice President of Engineering & Global Product Development at Ford Motor Company until April 1, 2012 and Vice President of Engineering since January 2011. He served as a Vice President of Operations of Asia Pacific & Africa Region at Ford Motor Company since August 2008 until December 2010 and also served as its Officer. Mr. Nair was responsible for product development, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and information technology within the Asia-Pacific and Africa region. Mr. Nair joined Ford in 1987 and has held a number of senior positions in manufacturing, product development and purchasing. He served as an Executive Director of Commodity Business Planning for North America at Ford Motor Company. Prior to that, Mr. Nair was Executive Director, North American Product Development at Ford, responsible for the engineering and development for all truck and SUV programs including the Ford F-Series, Explorer and Expedition. In 2000, Mr. Nair was appointed a Director, New Model Programs, Advanced & Manufacturing Engineering, Vehicle Operations at Ford. In this position, he was responsible for all Ford North American Vehicle Operations launches, oversaw the New Model Programs Development Center and helped reinstitute Ford's Launch Quality Operating System. Mr. Nair was also the Vehicle Operations launch manager for the 1996 European Fiesta. In addition to his duties at Ford, Mr. Nair serves on the board of directors of the Michigan Science Center and the board of trustees of Kettering University. He was named the recipient of the 2012 Kettering Alumni Award for Management Achievement. In 2014, he was named the Fortune Automotive Businessperson of the Year. Mr. Nair holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with an automotive specialty from Kettering University in Flint, Mich.
