He served as president at Ford Brazil. Mr. Armstrong served as Vice President of Ford Motor Company since January 01, 2014 until June 1, 2017. He served as the President of Ford Motor Company Brasil Ltda., since June 1, 2012. Mr. Armstrong served as Chief Operating Officer of Getrag Ford Transmissions in Germany. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Volvo Car Corporation until October 2010. During his 25-year-plus career, Mr. Armstrong has served in a variety of senior management and purchasing positions for Jaguar, Volvo, Ford of Europe and served as Chief Operating Officer of Getrag-Ford Transmissions. Notably, he led the restructuring of Volvo's global purchasing function in 2005 with a focus on quality and efficiency. He has been Vice Chairman at Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S. since September 8, 2017. He has been Director at Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S. since September 8, 2017. Mr. Armstrong has been recognized with many awards, including being named a Eurostar by Automotive News in 2005 for improving supplier relations for Volvo. Mr. Armstrong earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of East London in 1999.
