What makes you most happy at work?Knowing i am adding differential value
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?Growth minded, relationship based, flexible
What are some of the best things about your team?Committed, all in, challenge my thinking, respectful
What's going wrong and how can it be improved? The people at the top of the ladder need to actually care about the employees that make the products and realize it is wrong for the CEO and other upper management to make over 100 times what the average employee makes. Wages, bonuses and benefits need to be increased across the company.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?10 years ago there was a waiting list to get a job at my local General mills, now they have a hard time keeping enough staff to run the lines. Every year they take more and more from us, from wage bonuses, taking away the possibility to earn a extra vacation day, and attendance bonuses.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?Communication and accountability for all

General Mills' mission statement is ""To make lives healthier, easier and richer.
Climate change presents risks to humanity, our environment and our livelihoods. Changes in climate not only affect global food security but also impact our raw material supply. This influences our ability to make food people love and deliver value to our shareholders.
Science-based goal: Only 10 percent of our greenhouse gas footprint is from our own operations, so we’ve set a goal to look beyond our walls and reduce absolute GHG emissions across our full value chain by 28 percent by 2025 (compared to 2010). Our longer-term goal is to achieve sustainable emission levels in line with scientific consensus by 2050.
Water is an integral part of General Mills’ heritage. The company traces its roots back to 1866,
when milling visionary Cadwallader Washburn set up a flour mill operation on the banks of the
Mississippi River in Minneapolis seeking to capitalize on the power-generating potential of the 16-
foot St. Anthony waterfalls. Today, water continues to be critical to food manufacturing for use as an
ingredient, a coolant, and to clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment. General Mills is committed
to protecting and conserving its natural resources, and seeks innovative ways to reduce and reuse
water wherever possible.
Our aim is to build strong, resilient and sustainable communities.
