  • dresses and 3piece suits. As formal as possible.

  • Not all positions get vacation time. Some get a week a year, other employees accrue PTO.

  • It varies by position. My position didn't get vacation pay, but other people in my department got one week of vacation a year.

  • One of its best features. As you put in hours, you build credit on your amount of vacation time. Holidays are paid vacations.

  • I don't know what people think about the CEO. I think they try hard to accommodate the employees. Some work areas could be improved

  • Well, Goodwill has a leading CEO that has only been around a few year at Goodwill. He should be promoting himself, via video, and to new employee's, an introduction on paper &/or video.

  • Used to love it...I dread closing the store...some things we deal with cause frustration

  • the only minor drawback....the scheduling is such ( also due to the public preferences for daytime ) that its static. Not variety in scheduling. Working with the people makes it worthwhile

  • Listen more than worrying what Goodwill thinks of you. Be prepared to either show your knowledge or understanding. The job interview is more like a classroom with others doing the same thing you are.

  • Supposedly they help the community and that's a good incentive

  • If you are unemployed, they provide skills that are still needed and used in the retail sector. Goodwill fits just about all demographics found in our modern civilization. It's truly a hand up rather than a hand out. Its one of the few organizations that incorporates for-profit strategies to benefit its non-profit mission statement.
