Greystar – I'm disappointed with upper management. Core values don't appear to mean anything. Although difficult, I reported my CM for several unethical practices like utilizing Greystar's discount with vendors to purchase personal items for her home; telling the employee not to tell anyone/nothing was done. | Comparably

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The team; some of the team members are very nice, polite, and friendly.

What did you like most about the interview process?

It was informal, and I had an opportunity to ask a lot of questions.

What are some of the best things about your team?

For the most part, they are friendly. Although my CM is constantly telling one thing to one team member, and then tells another something else. Never consistent and forever secretive.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The benefits package is decent, however, I was told by a Greystar Employee who has been with the company for almost 10 years, that my CM should be giving me quarterly bonuses, yet in over 1year, I have NEVER received any.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

There's no consistency, and corporate simply does not listen to the onsite team members. When things are reported, they go uninvestigated; swept under the rug, per say, and you simply do not have a voice. I feel that minorities are treated differently then are white co workers.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

They need to learn how to practice what they preach. Honor the Core Values and LEAD BY EXAMPLE. I never understood why folks would say, 'if they saw something illegal at the job, they'd look away'. I now understand. Everyone is not treated the same, especially if you are a minority.
