11/10 experience with Grindr. I wish all companies in the world operated like Grindr - it makes me like I am a valued human contributing to society, rather than a cog in a corporate machine meant to turn profits.

Being surrounded by intelligent, hardworking, fun, and empathetic coworkers (that also happen to be members or allies of the LGBTQ+ community)

Transparency about the state of the company, willingness to listen to employees' opinions, and investing and fostering a positive, queer, and remote-first culture
What are some of the best things about your team?
We're queer, we're empathetic and understanding to living life outside of work, and we're hard working and deeply care for our users in the LGBTQ+ community
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Queer is engrained in the culture. I love that being queer is not some affinity group within the organization, but being authentically queer is the organization.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It's difficult to quantify my compensation solely in equity since we're not a public company, but based on market research and benchmarks, I'm slightly paid under market rate in terms of salary. But it may be because big tech skews salary compensation data and has more financial resources
