It's not a hard job. It's long hours, boring at times, and it's no fun riding around in a filthy van. I have to spend 30 minutes every day just cleaning out the previous drivers trash and cleaning the windows. I like working along side the RR employees.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The BNSF employees. Certainly not the van drivers.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
The selection of people. Some of these people are terrible.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
A lot goes on, no one cares. you write it up, nothing happens. you don't write it up - you get into trouble. So it's confusing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They really don't offer any real incentives to stay for very long. The life insurance and disability insurance company doesn't even exist. They have a credit score company as the company that pays benefits?
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Taking care of the employees and pay raises across the board - just to make it competitive with other local companies. Plus, they just don't care about anything - all the way from keeping the vans clean to keeping a safe and healthy working environment.
