the fact that the business of the company is focused around pets
The most positive aspect of our company culture is to not panic or let things get us down. In a startup things can move fast, which could generate stress but in those moments we take the time to step back and face challenges with a smile on our faces. We also know that we can count on each other.
Being accountable for own results instead of trying to get credit when things go well and blaming when they don't. Hiring a real team on not only interns to have some consistency
they company needs some full time employees and not only interns. they need fair pay and more respect
they need less interns and more employees. if you have 15 interns, some freelancers and less than 10 employees there's no continuity at all
There's a lot of negative pressure. It results in blaming, talking behind others' backs and similar bad practices that harm the company culture. Having more interns than employees doesn't help either cause most of the team changes over the course of three month so there's no consistency
With most colleagues (interns) the atmosphere is good, but not with management. They talk bad about interns and colleagues, gossip a lot. It also always feels like there is a competition between departments and blaming for mistakes. When the CEO is in the office everyone is very tense.
