Mr. Bharat Amin has been the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Newport News Shipbuilding Division at Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. since December 15, 2014. Mr. Amin oversees the shipyard's strategic direction and has day-to-day leadership over all information systems at Newport News and the HII corporate office. He has experience in business processes, technology development, cyber security and large information technology project implementation. He served as Chief Information Officer for BAE's Land & Armaments division. Mr. Amin is a mechanical engineer with master's degrees in industrial engineering and business administration.
