Don Godwin — VP of Business Management & CFO - Newport News Shipbuilding Division at Huntington Ingalls Industries

Mr. Don Godwin has been Vice President of Business Management and Chief Financial Officer for Newport News Shipbuilding Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. since September 5, 2017. Mr. Godwin has been the Vice President of Finance for the Information Systems division of Exelis since October 2010. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the Information Systems division including project accounting and pricing; financial accounting and reporting; internal, external and government audits and compliance; and merger and acquisition analysis and integration. He has more than 20 years of experience in finance and business operations management. Mr. Godwin most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Hitachi Data Systems Federal. He also served as Chief Financial Officer at Harris Corp. and its predecessor companies. He served as an Assistant Controller of the Information Systems division and has held progressively responsible positions in the finance department at Exelis and at Stanford Telecom (prior to being acquired by Exelis). He serves as a Director of IBL JV, LLC. Mr. Godwin holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
