IBM Marketing Department Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

they are transparent and easy to talk to

Review from Marketing Dept

They have been as transparent as possible about the acquisition

Review from Marketing Dept

The effort they make to ensure we are all aware and aligned with the company objectives, from our north stars down to each team's objectives. Also how approachable and kind they are.

Review from Marketing Dept

Consistent messaging, all teams seem to have equal weight, and limited/no turnover at the top

Review from Marketing Dept

less evil then other tech companies

Review from Marketing Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

We haven't built the required machinery (operationally, culturally) to operate at scale. Merely paying lip service to our principles, especially by leadership, will be our downfall.

Review from Marketing Dept

Functional Manager's role seems to lack domain skill so no connect with team. No team conversations/feedback, all silence and discomfort in the team to share any idea. The team is achieving client expectations and for guidance cannot reach out to functional manager but a temporary SME hired.

Review from Marketing Dept

Understand and focus on the team. Think about the people.

Review from Marketing Dept

Recognize and compensate employees picking up for those leaving. Listen to the needs of the employees and be there to support the team.

Review from Marketing Dept

High attrition rates: matching market compensation especially for high performers

Review from Marketing Dept

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

Base salary is in line with market

Review from Marketing Dept

My favorite part of my compensation package is the generous vacation time, and second is ESPP and RSUs.

Review from Marketing Dept

Not sure, only 2 months into the role

Review from Marketing Dept

In line with the job market

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel I am paid competitively.

Review from Marketing Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

clumsy programme incorrect set up

Review from Marketing Dept

having to travel and pay for hotel rooms is very costly. It's something that I can't afford at the moment, in due time I will, but as a new employee, I find it to be a really big struggle. My compensation is nice but it's just a confusing. I still love Hashicorp and all they do.

Review from Marketing Dept

I have not had a raise in two years, but my responsibilities have increased significantly. I am getting recruiter emails with easier roles that offer more money.

Review from Marketing Dept

Better pay transparency including ranges

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel I was not hired taking into consideration my total experience and skill set.

Review from Marketing Dept

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

they are friendly and open

Review from Marketing Dept

Everyone is nice and a pleasure to work with

Review from Marketing Dept

Having common goals and a positive, creative attitude toward reaching them.

Review from Marketing Dept

Help each other during time off and onboarding

Review from Marketing Dept

People have reasoning to their decisions and even write them down (likely due to our RFC culture). Nothing is arbitrary or done on a whim.

Review from Marketing Dept

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

This is most likely due to COVID, but I do not feel very connected to any of them on a super personal level. I do not know much about their personal lives or feel like I am friends with them.

Review from Marketing Dept

Be more outcome oriented and less focused on meetings. There's a lot of talk among coworkers and not always follow through. There's a lot of competition. We pretend to collaborate but silently compete with each other

Review from Marketing Dept

There is a mix of everyone from forward thinkers to people stuck thirty years in the past. It’s hard to bring everyone with such a range of ideas toge

Review from Marketing Dept

Listen to each other better.

Review from Marketing Dept

A few senior employees seem to have become complacent. They have reached their salary cap, and are not motivated to continue learning or keeping up with new technologies. People might be more motivated if they knew there was still opportunity for growth.

Review from Marketing Dept

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

friendly open and you can talk to anyone

Review from Marketing Dept

Our culture is enthusiastic and kind. There is a lot of energy and a positive attitude overall, with clear objectives, and a common desire to reach our goals. I love working at HashiCorp, and I've been here for over three years - never a dull moment!

Review from Marketing Dept

Inclusive events, diverse backgrounds & perspective. And Built for Remote first!

Review from Marketing Dept

people listen to and believe me

Review from Marketing Dept

Great leadership, everything is considered and documented, remote oriented, and people are friendly/inclusive.

Review from Marketing Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Less silos, more collaborations and ways to connect.

Review from Marketing Dept

Middle management slows the pace of innovation making it incredibly hard to execute our senior leaderships vision.

Review from Marketing Dept

It's very stressful and the way the offices are set up does not help.

Review from Marketing Dept

Total restructure of the company. It's a cave of discrimination against women and people of color.

Review from Marketing Dept

Positive encouraging management. All manager should have to take a personal/psychological assessment before being allowed to lead.

Review from Marketing Dept

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

I enjoyed the variety of people I spoke with at all different levels

Review from Marketing Dept

Very quick to hiring decision

Review from Marketing Dept

they were looking for an asset

Review from Marketing Dept

The interviewers are generally courteous.

Review from Marketing Dept

The grilling was difficult yet makes it the most enlightening experience.

Supportive boss who is understanding about workload and getting up to speed

Review from Marketing Dept

Great work/life balance, work culture, and leadership.

Review from Marketing Dept

I am happy about the projects I work on

Review from Marketing Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

More opportunities to meet in person, connect with other parts of the business, and learning opportunities.

Review from Marketing Dept

in-person events are not accessible to immunocompromised (or anyone paying attention to the ongoing pandemic)

Review from Marketing Dept

We tend to want to release products for (event) instead of insuring they are executed well. Teams are spread entirely too thin, causing burnout and attrition. Most companies this size don't have to support this many products. I don't know why this is never addressed.

Review from Marketing Dept

No one actually listens to the employees. Its just IBM leadership doing what they want and up to the rest of us to magically make it happen.

Review from Marketing Dept

HR and Execs look the other way when claims of harassment or blame the victim
