Frequently Asked Questions About INFLUX

  • I have submitted my application but I haven't been invited to an interview. How long should I wait?

We try to get back to all applicants as soon as possible. However, that's not always realistic and at times it would take us a while to get back to you. We understand this isn't ideal, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

I have been invited to an interview! How do I book one?

The method of booking interviews may vary from one interviewer to another. However, generally, interviewers like to use Calendly, which is a calendar scheduling service.

Using Calendly, the interviewer will give you a link to a page where you can see the slots on their calendar when they are available for interviews, and book one. You may need to choose what kind of event you're booking for, before getting to the booking page; in this case, just choose the event which fits the context the best.

After choosing a slot in Calendly (and confirming your choice!), you will receive a confirmation email from Calendly. This emailmightalso be a calendar invitation, in which case the event will be added to your (Google) Calendar (depending on your calendar settings). This confirmation email should tell you everything you need to know about the interview event.

Most interviews in Influx are conducted through Google Meet. The confirmation email should tell you the link to the Meet.

How do I use Google Meet?

Google Meet is a video conference service by Google. To join a Google Meet, you would need to have a link. The link looks like this:

    https://meet.google.com/ypc-froz-hqc

(Note that it's just an example. The link willlook like that but you'll get a different link for your interview.)

All you need to do is click the link and then you will be brought to the corresponding Meet. Then, you would need to click 'Join meeting' to, well, join the meeting.

    Additionally:

You would need to have a Google account. No need to sign up for a "Meet" account (there's no such thing) -- as long as you have a Google account, that's enough.

You would need to use Google Chrome if you're using a computer. If you're planning on using your phone, there is a Google Meet app on the App Store / Play Store.

Important notes for Microsoft email users

For some reason, Microsoft thinks it's a good idea to delete the invitation email once you respond to it. If you've responded to the invitation then you can find the email on your deleted/Trash folder. You would need it to find the link to the Google Meet. (Alternatively you can just check your Microsoft/Outlook Calendar.)

  • Hi, and thanks for your interest in Influx!

When filling the application form, you will be asked how you heard about us. Feel free to mention that you were referred, and the name of the referrer.

During interviews, sometimes the interviewer will ask that question as well. Please be sure to repeat that information just to be sure.
