Overall, things are great. I did not enjoy my beginning position but management worked with me and allowed me to switch to my current position, where I have flourished. You wont get rich unless you move way up the ladder, but you will make enough to support a decent life.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We all get along really well and noone is excluded.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Small town kind of people. Most are people who started at the bottom and worked to the top.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay is fairly low. Most pay starts at minimum wage and with other competitors pay starting at $11/hr. the pay is comparatively inadequate.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love my job. I work as a butcher and feel like I am part of an elite group who truly know the ins and outs of fabrication and breaking.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Upward mobility is a reality in this company. The current CEO started as an extremely low level employee and is now top dog. There are multiple instances of this same type of stories.
