I've been with the company for over 10 years, and it's the only place I've ever worked that I've actually felt I had any control over my career advancement. I've made more money here than anywhere else, and I haven't had to become someone that I am not in order to do that.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My leadership team is very approachable and understanding of my concerns.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love being left alone and being able to work from my home. It solves a lot of financial problems for me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It has been a rough couple of years for the company. If I could get yearly cost of living increases rather than occasional merit increase and/or bonus, It would make me feel that things were more stable.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is very well versed in the history of the company and what all of the different departments do. That allows us to see things from many different perspectives. Most of us have been here quite a while and are very invested.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I'm left alone and allowed to do what I do best. With our move to a virtual environment, there's not as much worry about office politics and there aren't as many distractions pastor would be otherwise. Anyone who lasts seems to have a pretty good work ethic...
