I've been at the company for a while now, and we see the same cycle play out every 2-3 years: Doing well, expanding, business slows, mass layoffs, hire a large amount of Sales people and C suite folks, but _never_ hire enough Developers/QA to support any new work we bring in, overpromise, repeat.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We haven't gotten even basic cost of living pay increases in a few years now. Inflation is _killing_ the value of my paycheck.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It's work. I'm going to consistently do my job to the best of my abilities as long as I'm getting fairly compensated, but no one _wants_ to work.
