Jewel Osco Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

A little variety of tasks.

Serving my neighborhood and community

I have the ability to foster positive change, and see the tangible financial and physical results from my efforts, dispite being unrecognized for my achievements by leaders.

THE PEOPLE I INTERACT WITH.

My customers appreciating my efforts. They always thank me for helping them and notice how i take care with them and other custkmets. Even comment how i am patient and respectful

Getting to interact with people, as well as having a variety of things to do.

Encouragement , Good communication, and Knowing that the store is in good standing and shape at all times

Wacthing everyone come to work. Were a family

My team and my impact on them.

Checking out groceries for customers.

My customers and coworker. I'm not bearly as stressed as I used to be when I ran a storefront a few years ago.

When you work 6 days a week and every week I look forward to my day off, my one day off!

Customers who are happy to see me. Many times a week a cust. will swing by the meat counter, to say hello, and be on their way. No purchase of product, but a testament, to the true value of service.

Review from Operations Dept

The customers, especially when they are happy about my service or about My smile when I say hi to them. My coworker too,

Positive customer interaction make me happy. I like taking time to deliver the best service I can during my work day.

Breaks, going home, and getting paid

The customers !!!! Love the connection with the customer and the regulars

Getting a job done. And somebody realizing that I’ve worked hard to get it do

Talking to co-workers. Talking to friendly customers, tho standing for 8 hours does a number on your back and feet

Seeing my friends at work

Review from Customer Support Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Clean house from the top of the company

Employees don't care because the company barely pays them to show up

Review from Operations Dept

change the store director, president and district managers or rotate them

All current problems the management sees in relation to production and sales numbers dropping can be easily solved by HEAVILY increasing the wages of the remaining workers. Especially the ones who have put in many years with the company and now make the same rate as new hires

Hire more people. Pay people better.

I don't know what the customers think, but before as a customer I always treated it as "worse target"

The treatment of people with color should be correct in some departments

Associates breaking rules should be reported/ fired. Pay should be increased. Stores should be repaired for safety.

It will be great if everyone did their part. Instead it fall all on one person.

Everything. Needs entirely new management.

Company should be run fairly and not a need for a union problems should be settled within store

Bad department management and favoritism toward certain employees

Customer complaints poorly stocked shelves not enough help

Review from Sales Dept

There should be more communication.. It is sometimes very hard to find someone to answer a question

Review from Operations Dept

I am expected to do everything and it is not fair.

Review from Sales Dept

The way employees/store director/manager talk to each other and the customers. I think it could be improved if people weren't so disrespectful just be nice and respectful to everyone we work with.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Understaffed, have more staff after 5pm till closing.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Not working a lot of hours is dragging me down

Review from Sales Dept

the scheduling system leaves us with low staff.
