Executive Bio

Dr. Holger R. Jung has been the President of Polymer Segment at Kraton Corporation since April 1, 2017 and serves as its Senior Vice President. Dr. Jung served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Kraton Corporation (alternate name: Kraton Performance Polymers Inc.) until April 1, 2017 and served as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing since March 14, 2011. Dr. Jung has responsibility for all sales, marketing and market development activities globally for Kraton. His technical background, coupled with his broad commercial experience in the chemical and polymer industry, enable him to quickly focus his efforts in continuing to advance Kraton's market-leading innovative application and market development priorities, supporting both existing and new customer relationships globally. Dr. Jung joined Kraton from Invista, where he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, serving most recently as Vice President of Invista's North American Polyester & Intermediates business overseeing the successful sale of this business to Indorama. Dr. Jung began his career at Hoechst AG as a research and development chemist. At Hoechst AG he also served as a technical service manager and he held positions with oversight for quality management, strategic planning and for the marketing and sales functions of KoSa's European Polyester Specialty Polymer Business. Dr. Jung earned his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Marburg and he spent 14 months at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, leading various research projects within the Department of Material Science.
