The worst thing about lincare, forget your family, friends, hobbies. No calendars or clocks. Work anytime all the time
Absolutely the worst thing about working at lincare, crushing workloads and long, long, long hours. Forget about your family friends, holidays and weekends because you will work them all.
Probably the worst of any company out there. You will work VERY long hours all day every day and then get to be on call. And believe me you will get those 1:00 A.M. calls
How does Lincare make decisions around promotions?
Top Employee Response
Who has the most scrapes on their knees
Good question, wish I had a good answer. Have never figured that one out. They will give management positions to little 24 year old's and bypass longtime employees
Poorly, i am not really sure how they make these decisions. I have seen some of the most unqualified people be given positions while long time employee's are passed by
What do people at Lincare think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
She looks good in the company jet while passing out 2% raises
She looks good riding in the company jet
Most people in the trenches are underimpressed, because they can spend money onthe corporate jet to fly the CEO and the lobbyist they pay to go to Washington and make feeble appeals to congress, while rank and file employees are given a 1 to 3 % raise that takes up to 6 months to take effect and no retro pay
What's the interview process like at Lincare?
Top Employee Response
A dog and pony show
Standard, but full of deceptions
Pretty much the standard interview questions. But a word of advice ask them about work life balance, because this is what will bury you.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Lincare?
Honest and trustworthy regional management and higher. Management above area manager level is so disconnected and sneaky. Communication is not good and the Salesforce is made to feel like they are just good for making upper management money. Commissions are held for everything, a lot of time by mistake on Billings part, due to so many training issues and turn over. Hardly anyone is satisfied with their job and hardly anyone plans to stick around and management doesn’t seem to care or want to do anything about it. The COO needs to go!!!! This all stems from him and his management style. The company, as it is, runs off good talent. The typical cycle is as follows: management demands numbers higher than possible in a lot of territories/situations, lower management and sales rep push the boundaries of what is allowed/legal to hit those impossible goals and then compliance pushes for termination of those people that broke the rules while upper management acts like they have no knowledge of
Hols management responsible for a lot of the problems they create. Provide a healthier life work balance. Listen to everyday employees and offer better pay
Work cultures improve when ALL employees are valued for their service. Treat emloyees better offer better pay, benefits and real achievable bonuses. Its already been proven when employees like their emloyer and enjoy working there, feel appreciated they are more productive. Just say Google.
What's the company culture like at Lincare?
Top Employee Response
Stressful, your job is on the line if you don't make the unreachable goals. Set up to fail. You can works as hard as humanly possible and it's still not enough, no bonuses. Absolutely the worst company I have ever worked for in my entire adult working life. If you like family time, job life balance this place is the worst. Understaffed and then they complain about overtime. You are made to be on call without pay. There are too many terrible things to say about this company. Best advice I can give you is stay away from this place. Read the reviews for yourself, you will see the same thing all across this company.
Horrible. Cut- throat. No loyalty.
Stressful, long long long hours. No appreciation for employees. Crushing workloads. Unreachable numbers expected. No home life poor work life balance. Totally negative
How much and how often do raises happen at Lincare?
Top Employee Response
Small very very small raises and supposed to be annual but you are lucky if they get around to it
Raises are not given freely and definitely not timely. They are in the middle of a wage freeze right now but the last raise I got was 22cents
How's the work pace at Lincare?
A total grind, work hard on your route only to come back to 10 more o2 setups to be done. Another 10 pm night
Chaotic and stressful, 2 days worth of work to do in 8 hours
How's the vacation policy at Lincare?
Unusal, they give you so many hours according to the ampunt of time you have worked per pay period. They used to offer up 1 week after a year, 2 weeks after 5 and so on, I used to have 4 weeks but now they stwal that from you.
Unusual, you have to earn hours every pay period. They used to give you 1 week after a year, 2 weeks after 5 and so on. They changed the structure on it so when they get rid of you they don't have to pay you your vacation time only what you have built up. Then they can deny your unemployment plus gyp you out of vacation pay out

They are trying to be more innovation now, but it’s being rolled out very poorly.
