Lyft is getting worse as time goes on. Especially on the Talent side, there is a lot of dead weight and politics and very little good work happening. I have also been tossed around, not given things I was promised, and never promoted in 2.5 years.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is great and we are open and honest with each other.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
People are generally nice and we don't work very hard. It's pretty chill.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like that they are finally sharing PPPs (I have been saying this for years). JZ is personable.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We have the lowest accountability culture I have ever seen. I have worked at two other companies that went public. We have no hustle and nothing bad happens to people who consistently underperform.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have not been promoted in 2.5 years, mostly because of issues related to HR not having career ladders ready. All my reviews at Lyft have been Redefines, Strongly Exceeds and Exceeds Expectations. I know I can make 30% more if I went elsewhere.
