Proud of my team/coworkers. Lyft hires great people with fantastic work ethic. They all know how to work hard and play hard. Free food/snacks are amazing. The transition from Startup vibe to a well-established company feels rusty, but not surprised. Lyft's brand image needs some improvement as well.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Lots of team offsites and collaboration. My team loves work together and lean on each others shoulders.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive is how informative the ELT is. They show their efforts to improve the company and show their community that rideshare is great.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I see the amount of effort they make to improve employee's lives and retain talent. They listen to their direct reports about take action immediately if needed.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
As a non-exempt employee in San Francisco, coordinating multiple activities to make things happen feels undervalued. I've checked the market from other companies and their non-exempt employees get paid $5-9 more.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Lyft's image is what makes me feel concerned. Some people say we mistreat drivers, but we don't. I understand the process and time Lyft needs to improve the lives of both riders and drivers. It would be awesome of Lyft can improve their brand image more often so I comfortably say "I work at Lyft."
