Proffesionalism and customer service. I recently had a wedding at the marriot and despite the high cost, the experience was not up to the standards of what I have come to expect from one of the biggest chains in the world. I felt disrespected and forgotten about. I am not happy.

do you agree with the overall marketing strategy there?
What marketing strategy? Still being defined given the recent Starwood acquisition. Seems the initial positioning is we have everything under the sun in this huge portfolio of brands. Too vague and not targeted properly
yes - its a great strategy
Are you struggling to find people who want to work at your company?
No, keeping them is the problem.
not really - we have classes that start all the time.. typical turnover for call centers
do you find your job rewarding?
Not at all. People will steal your tips out of the rooms that you have to later clean which is complete CRAP. An minimum wage for well over minimum
I find my job rewarding in certain ways. But do believe it's not working me to my full ability.
What do you like best about the leadership team at Marriott?
I'd estimate about 70% transparent, that's light years ahead of most corporate structures.
We work great together as a team, great communications, idea sharing, a family orientated environment. My leaders are truly role model to me

They were better but recently change negatively

Not much help, more of sink or swim

I worked for 10 years before being laced off. I found that depending on GM it could be a good place to work.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Marriott?
Know the culture, be willing to work any shift, do not talk about family in interview,have no facial hair,come dresses in conserve outfit
What are you most excited about working at Marriott?
Finding work in an up coming, freshly opened restaurant with a Chef who worked for 3 Star restaurants in his past.
