Menards Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Part time - there is none - i do appreciate the flexibility is scheduling time off whenever needed

Profit sharing is the best part

The profit sharing with all employees

Review from Operations Dept

normally easy to track records

The benefits of helping people

Bonuses are nice. Dental is available.

Pay bump for weekend hours. Very few employers start people out at such an hourly wage. Can get a slight bump in pay at 3 and 6 months. Pay attention and learn though because you have to pass a test for the bump

Review from Sales Dept

The profit sharing is nice

Wages are fair, dental premium is reasonable

I do like the benifits that come woth the job.

the percentage of pay you get back

I just happy about having a job

money and.10 percent discount i never got to use

Instant profit sharing. Unmatched by anywhere I've ever worked.

I do believe the pay is good for the work I am doing. I like that I can get paid more for working a weekend shift, making those more desirable. However, my hours, therefore my wages, have been significantly cut recently. A member of the leadership team told me they were trying to get people to quit.

Spiff is commission based on earning

Bonuses, holiday and birthday gifts, vacation time and schedule flexibility.

Review from Sales Dept

Fair pay and retirement for working part-time.

I don't participate in the health benefits as I've always gotten them through my husband's job, but I was amongst the first frontline workers to get a COVID vaccine thanks to our GM who worked hard to get us voluntary appointments with our county. So, I most enjoy the paid vacations!

Ips was the best part

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I don't think there should be a test for a ten cent raise.

Maybe if they bothered to support your success instead of focused on how to destroy you, diminish you and overwork you.

Living wage+ Responsibility and longevity

The manager takes over any time a customer places an order that would give a team member any type of generous commission. He specifically comes in on his days off to essentially steal from his employees.

Review from Sales Dept

better health insurance for employees at affordable rates

I used to have great benefits. Those have been cut back. People need health insurance, vision & dental benefits, life insurance. Repeatedly we have asked for more help so we can accomplish the daily tasks that need done, yet no one is listening. We give 100% most days and are told it's not enough.

I would like decent health insurance, matched 401k, stock options

If they gave us more money

Less expensive insurance and 401k matching.

Vacation hours for part time. Matching 401K.

Review from Sales Dept

I love my job. Management changes so frequently that it creates poor culture. HR reports directly to the GM which also creates a conflict of interest when the GM is the main complaint.

Discussions to see where I'm headed as q worker

Respect your employees and value their time

Everyday, a good job pat on the back, like hey I see your really trying what can I do to help

Undervalued for sure, boss thinks if you work at menards then you must work for menards forever

Nepotism is a regular practice and those who are friends move up whereas those who are neutral are passed over.

I would like to be appreciated by my managers

A better hourly wage. There is no labor shortage, just a shortage of workers willing to take the bare minimum in pay for all the responsibilities that companies like this are asking workers to do. It's utterly ridiculous how companies wonder why people aren't applying and are constantly shorthanded.

I'm getting paid $10.25 an hour for a job that I've put blood, sweat, and tears into, quite literally. I've almost died multiple times working there, learned everything on my own, and have caught multiple people stealing only to be paid a little over minimum wage and get a pat on the back.

More benefits. Health insurance is quite pricey
