Menards – Very low pay, almost no training for the items you're expected to sell, only discount is taken from your paycheck. Managers are not trained that well, had one manager attempt to increade my hours without saying a word to me. Overall, just a job if you need one, not much of one to enjoy. | Comparably

What did you like most about the interview process?

It was pretty quick, in and out.

What makes you most happy at work?

Leaving the god forsaken place.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Appreciation for their employees, nobody feels like they're wanted by Menards.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Understabding that their employees have lives, communicate more, and just simply have respect.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Most of my tean is very friendly and easy to talk to. Unlike a lot of jobs, I'd be willinf to go out with them outside of work.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I'm getting paid $10.25 an hour for a job that I've put blood, sweat, and tears into, quite literally. I've almost died multiple times working there, learned everything on my own, and have caught multiple people stealing only to be paid a little over minimum wage and get a pat on the back.
