I recently had a baby. Menards human resources department and management have not been helpful at all. We are on our 3rd trip into the store with a newborn to fill out fmla paperwork for maternity leave. My manager would rather argue than help. There needs to be a process change within menards.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Process changes. Understanding state and federal laws that protect the employees and then abide by them. Support systems for employees that create a place that people want to work at.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I love my job. Management changes so frequently that it creates poor culture. HR reports directly to the GM which also creates a conflict of interest when the GM is the main complaint.
