My experience with Menards has been an overall positive experience. I work with a great group of people and managers. However, there is a disconnect between corporate and the stores. I have experienced this recently and it has left a bad taste in my mouth.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone works together and to help when and where needed. Managers at all levels are on the sales floor working with their employees, not hiding in an office somewhere.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Corporate makes being able to start higher on the pay scale difficult. If you don't fit into a short list of degrees you start at barely over minimum wage. Even with experience you're not guaranteed to start higher out until AFTER starting and they approve the experience.
