My experience here has overall been very positive. If you have the drive to succeed and know what you want out of your career, MISUMI can make it happen, you just have to keep the conversation going with them on career path.

Fair pay in the market. Other then that I feel valued, just not from a pay perspective.

The different types of projects I have gotten to be a part of that have helped me grow in my career and here at MISUMI.

Take care of your high performers. Recognize them, promote them, challenge them even more, move them up the company. Recognize females in the office and move them up.

We all work really well together to achieve a main goal and when that goal is achieved everyone wins. We help each other and combine all our strengths to have a powerful outcome/results.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am a high performer going above and beyond with my work getting paid the same as the other employees who just show up and get by. Put more value in the people that work hard and promote them up.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people. HR does a good job of hiring talent and for culture fit. When you walk into the office and get to work with co-workers who become friends, it makes for a great company to be at where everyone achieves together.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We all get a long really well and anytime there is conflict it is resolved because we all care about our jobs, each other and are mature to handle all issues. They are also a fun group to work with and very passionate about our team.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Trickle down the strategy and goals we are trying to achieve as a whole company instead of working in silos. Create a year long calendar in advance of the focus of our company and consistent messaging needs to be agreed upon across the entire company and we need to stick to it.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The new hybrid model has been very positive, allowing for flexibility in work/life balance. The people are great, I love the events the company puts on and the Town Hall is always something to look forward to. The ability to work on my career path here and have the support of HR and my manager.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel valued as a person but compensation-wise I do not. I do a lot for the company and when I compare my job title across other companies with the same job title, the position pays more outside of MISUMI. Overall, love the people and culture. Just wish the pay matched competitively a little more.
