What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Branch management is usually unsupervised so a lot of things happen that unfortunately go unaccounted for. Regional management needs to be more present in branches.

Show you care more...treat me like a person. I have such bad anxiety logging in everyday. I do so many good things but one thing does wrong its like all the 100 amazing disappear..also I never get any thank you or way to go from my Manager. I don't feel like I am valued at all. Seems no one cares.

Realizing people want a liveable wage and work/life balance

Trusting the experts they hire to do jobs. Stopping fear culture nonsense. Modernizing. Leading.

Honesty and the commitment to our members to provide the best service to them. Working together as a whole unit to make Navy Federal the best Credit Union. Some seem to have lost the drive, passion and reason Navy Federal became great to begin with. Power is unfortunate!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

2-3% raises dont keep up with inflation, insurance is pricey and bonuses were cut for the bottom line

I would want to see cost of living raises and no more layoffs

The majority of new employees come in getting paid the same as employees that have been in the company for a long time. Benefits are good but can always be better and I leave accrual is too low.

To be paid fairly and a manager to actually cares and wants the best for me.

Compansation is not competitive at all

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Townhalls are a joke. Just to tell us how much momey they made while not increasjng out pay or hiring more support. They dk jot csre about employees.

Helping each other and communication.

To team work or collaboration. Its a me team not we.

Lots of old incompetent people who cant get fired because they are good at playing nice and playing dumb and playing politics. So if you're a talented, competent young professional, all the work will be on you and if the old ppl mess up, it'll be your fault

The boomers need to retire! If they cant even use the search function correctly or the filter function on Excel, they need to retire. Or fire them. The younger employees cant do the work of the incompetent lifers there, its not sustainable

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Executive management should include front line staff so they know what's really happening. They way too disconnected so don't realize how their decisions truly impact staff. Don't consider the ridiculous changes when determining performance.

Nearly everything but first and foremost would be hiring adults and treating them as such.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

Interviews were arbitrary. My interviewers definitely lied to me about the nature of the job

Branch Operation trainers are usually brought into the interview process. Some of them rig everything in favor of their friend their hiring. Some will even sexually harass other trainers until they leave in order to make room for their friend. They have openly boasted of this tactic.

You need to be clear that you only one internal folks instead of external folks

The steep and difficult hoops you have to jump through to reach a level 1-5 shpuldnt be another interview entirely. Unless its for a leadership position it seems unfair to allow that growth or to offer it to someone from the outside over someone applying within!

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

More transparency and action. As well as better decision making.

They spit in your face.

Honestly dont try to improve. Navy Federal as an org does not deserve accolades or a chance to improve. I just hope USAA can buy them out and fire all the incompetent people

Some of us men in branches have been forced by their managers to speak with high-pitched voices and lisps with the threat that we'll be graded as unfriendly. Leadership's excuse is that that's how you guide and engage the member. Worst training ever. The sound of our voices shouldn't matter.

Customers are allowed to scream, yell, and belittle workers. Managers don't stand up for them.

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

Outlook Reviews

Employees being fairly compensated, more flexibility, not being so afraid of technology.
