What do you like best about the leadership team?
NYBC leadership is dedicated to the mission and to their employees. Executives have an open door policy, they are visible and lead by example.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication is terrible. They are dismissive.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Salary, health benefits and paid time off - excellent.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They pay men more money than women.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Due to covid, most meetings are now scheduled via Teams and actually more structured than previous face to face meetings.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
They need better social skills.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Every employee who works at New York Blood Center participates in their life saving mission. Lifesavers, every day!
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
They need to allow people flexibility in scheduling.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview team was flexible in allowing for my availability.

The interviewer could have been more thorough.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having complete confidence in the mission, managing gifts, saving lives.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
They feed people snacks with toxic chemicals. Even the water has a toxic chemical.
