I have loved being a part of Nextdoor and seeing it grow, as well as seeing myself develop. I want to be here in 5 years time but not sure how the company can support this. I am getting involved in new areas and an ERG to provide me extra satisfaction.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Female led with a great % of women in senior positions.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Diverse and inclusive. Although the leadership in International is not reflective of this. We need to have more diversity here. It currently is very male heavy and lacks race diversity.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
In nearly four years I have had only one substantial pay rise. During COVID we lost several perks and the team feel demotivated. In UK we get lower PTO than the NL and FR office. Other companies provide other perks to make staff feel included and rewarded.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have a small team of three but they are all so hardworking. It is a shame the two people reporting into me are contractors and so are not treated the same as other employees e.g not included on VTO day. We need to do more to bring UK team together, every team works/socialises in silos.
What makes you most happy at work?
Feeling inspired. I believe in the mission to my core and don't think I will ever work for a company I believe and feel so aligned to. Only negative is my area has been de-prioritised for last year and I don't see it improving. I love Nextdoor but want to work on something that the company values
