What's the Engineering team like at Oracle?

There are hundreds of teams and products, most are all disconnected, so it depends. My team is really very experienced, full of engineers that have been around for 15-20 years or more. Work is very pragmatic and purpose driven, we are self-managed as there are very few managers. Being a senior group it is expected we know what needs to be done, and we are left to it. For the most part, I like this.
